Complete our Puppy Application and wait for an email (Applications are reviewed on Tues & Thurs)

Once your application has been accepted you will receive an email "Application Accepted" to schedule a time for a brief 15 minute phone interview.

Once your application has been approved you will receive an email "Application Next Steps". This email will tell you how to submit your reservation fee & a link to complete your Master List Selection/Reservation Agreement Form

Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Unfortunately, we cannot hold puppies or your place of "pick of the litter" without a reservation fee, this is because people can easily change their mind and it isn't fair to those who have reservations. We cannot hold the puppy until the reservation fee is in our account. Reservation Fee IS APPLIED towards the final puppy price

In order for your $500 non-refundable reservation to be accepted, please complete our Master List Selection/Reservation Agreement Form.

Please note you may only be placed on ONE Master List at a time.

Once your reservation fee and Master List Selection/Reservation Agreement is received we will add you to your selected Master List and send you a confirmation email, "Non-Refundable Reservation Fee Received- Welcome to the Family!"

A Master List is Breed/Size/Generation specific lists.

For Example:

If you want a F1B Moyen (Medium) Goldendoodle you will select the F1B Moyen Goldendoodle Master List on our Reservation Agreement form when placing your non-refundable reservation. You will be placed on that Master list based on the date of reservation fee received (and/or date of request, if you choose to switch Master lists at any point).

When we confirm a pregnancy with a litter that produces F1B Moyen Goldendoodles, you will receive an email with those details (this does not mean that you have a placement on this list yet). When the litter is born and we know how many puppies are available we will go down the specific Master List and will send an email titled "Litter Announcement" to each family based on the number of puppies we have available. For example if we have 10 puppies born we will email the first 8 families on our Master List (BD4U always holds the first two spots in each litter for breeders/donation puppies/service work. These spots can be used at BD4U's discretion. Some litters BD4U will not hold back puppies, in these cases we will open up those spots for the current Master List holders).

You have 48 hours to confirm to the "Litter Announcement" email in order to be placed on the Litter List in order of the Master list.

If no one above you wanted this particular Litter List,

you could be #3 on the list (remember BD4U always take spots 1 and 2). On the other hand, if you replied after the 48-hour time frame, and everyone above you and a few below you wanted on the list, it is possible that you will not have a place in the specific litter unless a family backs out. It is your responsibility to watch for the emails.

If you have confirmed placement on a litter list (responded within the 48 hours and received an email stating confirmed placement) and get notified of another opening for a different litter, you can choose to leave your current litter list and move to the available litter. You can only be on ONE litter list, but you will still keep your Master List spot until you take home a puppy. You can choose at any time to change your mind and move to a different list that has availability, but you will be placed according to date of request and not by date of reservation fee received. We will not bump you down if others change their mind either. Moving to a list within the 48-hour timeframe of your “Litter Announcement” email notification is the only way to be placed according to reservation fee received.

As responsible breeders, we decide all of our breeding plans based on the interest of people wanting our puppies. If we do not have enough interest, we will make adjustments - i.e. we will not breed the female that cycles or possibly even skip the next etc. We do not want to be bringing puppies into this world that do not have homes waiting for them.

You may only remain on a master list for ONE year. In that year you are allowed to pass 3 times. After 3 passes you will be moved to the bottom of the Master List. After one year you will be removed completely from the Master List and your name will be placed on an Inactive List until you are ready to go back onto a Master List. Failure to respond to our emails about your name coming up on a litter list (Litter Announcement email) will result in a "pass" and count towards your 3.

***You will move up the Master list when those

above you take a puppy home.***

the hardest part... waiting... While you wait, make sure to join our private Facebook groups & our GroupMe to stay up to date on planned litters, heat cycles, litter updates etc. Once a litter is born in your selected Master List we will go down our Master List in order and offer positions for the litter. At this time we ask that you respond within 48hrs to our "Litter Announcement" email, whether you want to be placed on this litter or pass for a future litter. If we do not receive a response within 48hrs we will continue to move down our Master List, which means you may not have a position in the litter.

Now comes the hardest part of all... WAITING! I often get asked "When will I get my puppy?" and I really wish I could answer that for everyone! Although we may have a general idea of the litters that will be bred throughout the year, there are several things that we just can't predict until a litter has arrived. Many factors all play a part in which litter list families will choose in a given master list. Keep in mind that each family has an idea of what they're looking for in their future companion, just as you do. For that reason, our wait list is ever changing. Each family has the flexibility to remain on the master list for as long as they need to find the right fit. Nobody is locked into a specific litter. Occasionally, families that are ahead of you in "rank" may pass on a current litter and choose to wait for a future litter. If enough families do this, you may have the chance to get a puppy from that current litter. In the event that you decide to move to that current litter, and don't find what you're looking for, you remain on the Master List until you take a puppy home.

When we confirm a pregnancy with a litter that produces selected Master List puppies, you will receive an email with those details (this does not mean that you have a placement on this list yet).

Typically, families who are more flexible when it comes to their preferences for their future puppy's gender, color/markings, coat type, preferred take home timing etc. will often find their match and bring a puppy home more quickly than someone with a longer list of criteria. Remember we breed for health and temperament. If you are a person with specific preferences when it comes to these things, that is great, just know that you may experience a longer wait time to find your exact match! Every family is different, and that's okay!

Litter Pages

Now the fun begins! Now that you have a confirmed placed on a specific litter list it is time to begin to prepare to bring your puppy home in just 8-9 weeks! You will be given access to our password protected Litter Page on our website where you will be able to see pictures and videos from birth until Go Home Day.

Virtual Visitation

At 3-4 weeks we host a Virtual Family Visitation Day via Zoom, where we go over each puppy individually regarding coat type, color, current weight. We do not go over temperaments that comes later! We also have a presentation prepared for you to help prepare for your new BD4U dood and what to expect the next 4-5 weeks. This visitation is recorded to view anytime.

Temperament Evaluations

On Day 53 for moyen and standards, and day 63 for minis we perform a temperament test on each individual puppy. This test focuses on 12 specific traits that have been found beneficial in honoring each puppy and puppy family in placements. Each evaluation is recorded as well as scored. Each family is provided with each individual puppy videos as well as the entire litters scorecards. We are dedicated to being the voice and honoring our puppies!

Vet Checks

Vet checks happen Go Home Week!

We are extremely lucky to have an amazing Veterinarian who comes to our home to do our health checks. Each puppy gets a complete exam checked head to tail, lungs and heart. Each puppy receives their first puppy vaccine for Distemper/Parvo, as well as a microchip inserted under the skin between the two shoulder blades. Each puppy goes home with documentation for vaccines and exam as well as a fecal test.

Go Home Day

The day you have been waiting for!

Vet checks have been completed, temperament evaluations have been completed and reviewed by each family, now it is time for Go Home Day! Each family is given a 30 minute selection time to come and select their puppy either in person at the Dood Ranch or via phone/zoom.

All selections are made in the order of the litter list on Go Home Day.
